Framework guide
These are the 7 steps the whole team uses to turn an idea into a working agent, an automated helper that can talk to people or work with your systems on its own, built inside HappyRobot. Tap a number to jump to that step.
1
Define the problem
Write down exactly what the process looks like today, before any AI is involved.
Ask yourself:
- What happens today, step by step?
- How often does it happen: daily, weekly, monthly?
- How long does it take each time?
- What does it look like when this goes wrong?
You'll produce: A short, plain-language problem statement.15-20 minutes
2
Estimate impact in € value
Put a rough monthly euro value on fixing this. It just needs to be defensible, not perfect.
Ask yourself:
- How many times a month does this happen?
- How long does each one take, and what does an hour of that time cost?
- Or: what does it cost when this goes wrong, and how often does that happen?
- What's a fair, rough estimate you'd be comfortable defending?
You'll produce: A monthly € number, plus one line showing the maths.10-15 minutes
3
Map systems & dependencies
Find out what this idea would need to plug into.
Ask yourself:
- Where does the information come from today?
- Which systems would need to be read from?
- Which systems would need to be updated or written to?
- Who owns the login or access to those systems?
You'll produce: A short list of systems, access needs, and the best channel (voice, chat, etc.).15-20 minutes
4
Score feasibility
Give the idea an honest 1-5 score for how realistic it is to build in the next two weeks.
Ask yourself:
- Is the data we need actually available?
- Is the process clear enough to describe step by step?
- How complex is the integration?
- How soon could we try a first version?
You'll produce: A 1-5 feasibility score, with optional sub-scores.10 minutes
5
Draft the agent in HappyRobot
Build a first working version of the agent, the automated helper that will actually do the work, inside HappyRobot.
Ask yourself:
- What's the smallest version that proves the idea works?
- What should it ask for, say, or look up first?
- Where does the result need to end up?
- Who can help if you get stuck? (see Need help?)
You'll produce: A first draft agent, with a link back to it on this idea's page.2-4 hours, varies by idea
6
Test & refine
Try the agent on real examples and fix what breaks.
Ask yourself:
- What happened when you tried real examples?
- Where did it get confused or give a wrong answer?
- Did any edge cases show up that step 4 missed?
- What's the smallest fix that helps the most?
You'll produce: A tested version, plus a short list of what changed.1-2 hours, repeat as needed
7
Share results & prioritize
Show the team what you built and help decide what to build next.
Ask yourself:
- What did it do well?
- What would it take to make this production-ready?
- How does it compare to the other ideas on the matrix?
- What's the recommended next step?
You'll produce: A short readout, and an updated stage on this idea's page.10-15 minutes per idea
